Cruise through Laos on board Bohème - the three-night adventure follows the mighty Mekong
If you’re looking for a summer holiday adventure, this could be the perfect trip.
Mekong Kingdoms is launching private overnight charter sailings on board Bohème on the majestic Mekong between Luang Prabang and Xayabouris in Laos.
The charter cruises are available from June until September and are specifically designed for families and larger groups. Bohème is a 50m river cruiser with 13 suites that can accommodate up to 26 guests on board the three-night journey.
Bohème offers all the charms of a grand residence, with butler service, cultural excursions, onboard spa treatments and fine dining. The main, Royal Suite features a freestanding tub and a private balcony, perfect for watching the jungle-clad hills and tranquil villages drift by.
A typical day on board might start with a little early morning birdwatching, followed by riverbank yoga and spa therapies, with perhaps a cocktail class and finishing up with a long-table dinner under the stars.
Excursions along the route include a visit to the sacred Pak Ou Caves, craft workshops in Ban Xang Khong where guests can try their hand at handmade Saa paper from mulberry bari and Laotian pottery in the artisan village of Ban Chan Neua. There is also the opportunity to view (and swim) at the famous Kuang Si Waterfalls near Luang Prabang, stopping at the friendly Laos Buffalo Dairy Farm along the way.
Cruises are supported by a crew of 20, including a cruise manager, head chef, spa therapist and tour guide.
Bookings can be made online.
