JW Marriott Cam Ranh Bay Resort & Spa opens on Bai Dai Beach

JW Marriott Cam Ranh Bay Resort & Spa - relax at the Pool Bar

JW Marriott has opened a seafront property in Vietnam’s holiday hotspot of Cam Ranh.

The nature-inspired resort is located on a 22-hectare oasis of greenery that opens onto a 10 km stretch of powdery sand. The lush location boasts more than 1,000 species of flowers, shrubs and plants - think winding pathways, swaying paths and direct access to Bai Dai Beach.

The Asian-influenced design is based around the five elements of wood, fire, earth, metal and water. 

This is a resort that embraces families; there are dedicated children’s pools, a meandering Lazy River that weaves its way through the lush gardens and two children’s clubs, catering from toddlers to teens. The resort also runs The Family by JW programme featuring playful activities for little ones to discover the resort. 

More facilities include two further main pools, a Spa by JW, cooking classes using produce from the resort’s organic gardens and The Pottery Club, a studio that aims to preserve local Champa pottery and the ancient techniques of Bau Truc Village, one of southeast Asia’s oldest pottery communities. Guests can try their hand at creating authentic earthenware with hands-on classes guided by pottery masters.

Accommodation options include rooms and private villas. Interiors feature organic tones, natural materials and wooden accents. The 27, one- to four-bedroom villas have private infinity pools and spacious outdoor terraces. Ten villas are set directly on the beachfront.

Dining spots include Clay Craft for all-day dining, the name is inspired by the local rich, red soil which is used to craft Cam Ranh’s local pottery; the space overlooks a working pottery studio. More restaurant options include Seafood Grill, Bayside Bistro and Ocean Bar. Coffee and light snacks are available at Baking Company and golden hour cocktails at The Pool Bar.
