Outrigger continues its march into Asia with the opening of a fifth regional property, this time on Koh Samui.
The fully renovated, family-oriented resort opened its doors on August 1 offering 44 premium category rooms. A further 102 superior rooms will become available in November.
Summer guests will be able to enjoy the beachfront Edgewater beach club with three pool zones and a children’s water slide, as well as Outrigger’s signature Voyager 47 Club Lounge, the Coral Kids’ Club and games room and a fitness centre.
The premium category rooms at Koh Samui Outrigger Beach Resort - which can be booked now - include Club Garden Rooms, Lamai Garden Suites and Premier Lamai Garden Suites.
Depending on the category, premium rooms boast separate living areas, four-poster beds and marble bathrooms with separate showers and tubs.
All premium room guests have access to the Voyager 47 Club Lounge serving all-day soft drinks, afternoon snacks and evening cocktails with a chef’s tasting plate.

November will see the launch of the remaining rooms as well as an all-day dining restaurant and a fourth swimming pool.
Outrigger took over the resort last year and it has been redesigned by Bangkok-based architects Santhaya + Associates.
“We are really excited by the whole Edgewater family beach club concept which is the first of its kind in this part of the island,” said resort general manager Leah Matters. “With the Voyager 47 Club and a colonial beach house feel throughout the property, Outrigger has created a memorable and unique beach holiday experience.”
Outrigger has opened four properties in the region in the last six months, including Outrigger Koh Samui Beach Resort, Outrigger Khao Lak Beach Resort, Outrigger Surin Beach Resort in Phuket and Outrigger Maldives Maafushivaru Resort.
