Seafood and free-flow at Hong Kong's Island Shangri-La

The elegant Lobster Bar & Grill at Hong Kong’s Island Shangri-La hotel in Pacific Place has launched a brand new free-flow Saturday lunch.

The ‘Saturday Seafood Galore’ menu is offered from 11.45am to 4pm every Saturday, with three sumptuous courses crammed with crustaceans and fish creations.

Proceedings kick-off with a generous menu of appetisers, from freshly shucked oysters to tuna tartare and an impressive seafood tower.

Moving on, mains include a salmon Wellington, a riff on the classic beef dish, salmon coulibiac with saffron rice on the side in place of the more traditional pastry wrap, lobster pithivier with scallops and lobster meat enveloped in buttery pastry. Further taste bud tantalisers include lobster tail over Japanese rice with chef’s special vegetable XO sauce, grilled Dover sole and grilled rib-eye.

Finish off with a sweet plate; puds include warm chocolate cake, summer pavlova or the stunning 'Frutto di Mare', a tower of meticulously curated edible art ‘seafood’ treats, including mini banoffee pie ‘scallops’, vanilla creme brulee ‘lobster tails’, chocolate praline and more.

The Saturday Seafood Galore lunch costs from HK$798 or from HK$998 if you want to include two hours of free-flow champagne, red and white wine and soft drink pours.

The lunch’s two sittings run from 11.45am to 1.45pm and from 2 to 4pm.
