Taobao's PapaHome store moves to Causeway Bay

• The new, two-floor store will be twice the size of its original Tsim Sha Tsui location

• Perks for shoppers include a wider product range as well as a custom furniture and interior design showroom

• Additional offerings will include a PapaCafé, beauty and wellness, floristry and lifestyle accessories

Homewares destination PapaHome Powered by Taobao is relocating from Tsim Sha Tsui to Causeway Bay this coming autumn.

The move is part of a long-term expansion plan which will see the flagship store establish itself in one of Hong Kong’s most popular shopping destinations.

The new store will cover two floors, doubling its existing footprint. It will feature an expanded décor section, as well as new dining and lifestyle elements.

It will also be introducing a ‘More Than Home’ concept. Described as a multi-dimensional destination with an ‘Experience First, Buy Later’ philosophy, the concept will see PapaHome will offer a wider range of furniture and furnishings alongside a showroom with custom furniture, interior design and renovation services. Additional in-store offerings will include a PapaCafé, beauty and wellness, floristry and lifestyle accessories. To complement the services, PapaHome will be organising regular community events and workshops. 

“PapaHome has successfully expanded into the Hong Kong market with this model and relocating to Fashion Walk  in Causeway Bay marks a strategic brand upgrade,” said PapaHome chief executive officer Andy Wong. “Not only are we moving into a prime retail location, we are also more than doubling the usable space of our flagship store. We hope the public will see PapaHome not just as a furniture retailer, but as a platform for building a vibrant lifestyle community. We look forward to welcoming everyone this October.”

Taobao opened its first physical store in Hong Kong, PapaHome, in Tsim Sha Tsui in early 2025, offering around 100 of its most-popular online products like sofas, dining sets, wardrobes, children’s furniture, pet products and customisable furniture. 

The Causeway Bay emporium will open in October, 2026.
