Tie it with style

The weekly lifestyle edit Botani Bloom

The weekly lifestyle edit - style your look with homegrown silk scarfs

Founded in Hong Kong by sisters Sophie and Charlène Marrié, Botani Bloom began as a botanical plant studio and has blossomed into a gorgeous lifestyle label celebrating nature, French-inspired elegance and everyday rituals that bring joy. Crafted in 100% pure silk across versatile 100x100 and 50x50cm formats, these vibrant silks make ideal travel companions. Don’t miss:

  • Hong Kong love letters: Designs like ‘Hong Kong Heritage’ (illustrated with ferries, vintage trams and dragons in emerald and coral) and the geometric ‘Horizon 852’ celebrate our city's soul with playful sophistication.

  • Sun-kissed Riviera dreams: The ‘Promenade Vélocipède’ and ‘Plaisirs de la Côte’ whisk you straight to the South of France with lemon groves, coastal bicycles and seaside ease.

  • How to wear it: Knot one as a breezy halter top for warm holidays, fold it as a headscarf on junk boats, or loop it loosely over a crisp blazer for school runs and casual meetings.

Zara refresh

The weekly lifestyle edit Zara

The weekly lifestyle edit - the Sha Tin has a whole new look

Anyone balancing kids, work, and busy social schedules knows that when it comes to shopping with the whole crew, flow and ease are everything. Celebrating a milestone of 20 years in Sha Tin, Zara has completely revamped its expansive space at New Town Plaza. Despite spanning more than 1,300sqm across a single level, the space feels instantly calm thanks to warm timbers, soft stone-like textures and inviting portico arches. What I loved:

  • Effortless navigating: Dedicated, beautifully connected zones for Woman, Man, and Kids let the family browse together without the usual mall frenzy.

  • Smart time-savers: Assisted self-checkouts in every section and a sleek digital pick-up wall—where you flash your QR code to grab online orders in seconds—mean zero waiting around with little ones.

  • Conscious living: A dedicated cardboard collection point lets you recycle delivery boxes on the spot, backed by centralised smart energy systems that keep consumption lean and green.

Boutique pop-up in Repulse Bay

The weekly lifestyle edit Hula Mart

The weekly lifestyle edit - bag curated pre-loved designer items at Hula Mart

You know how deeply I champion conscious habits, circular luxury and finding pieces that carry genuine soul. So I was delighted to see pre-owned designer fashion platform Hula celebrate its tenth anniversary in high style, landing back at The Repulse Bay Arcade with Hula Mart. Taking over 2,000 square feet on Level 1, the pop-up swaps stiff boutique polish for an airy, warehouse-chic aesthetic featuring Hula’s signature motto: "I Shop, Therefore I Sell." Here's what to expect:

  • The ground floor kiosk: Before heading upstairs, pop into the miniature 55-square-foot styled newsstand with saloon doors to explore playful designer bags and pick up an inspiring "Pick Me Up" postcard to drop into the mini postbox.

  • The main rack: Upstairs houses over 400 carefully curated pre-owned designer pieces across womenswear, menswear, shoes, and accessories, with fresh stock rotating in weekly.

Hula Mart, Level 1, The Repulse Bay Arcade, 109 Repulse Bay Road, Repulse Bay; until December 21.

The weekly lifestyle edit - support breast cancer awareness with Shop Pink

Fashion is always at its most powerful when it supports real people and uplifts our community. In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet has launched a purposeful Shop Pink initiative in partnership with the Hong Kong Hereditary Breast Cancer Family Registry. Founded in 2007 by leading breast surgeon Professor Ava Kwong, The Registry provides vital free genetic screening, clinical testing, and compassionate counselling to high-risk, under-resourced families.

  • How to support: Until October 31, donate directly to The Registry (via in-store QR codes at boutiques including Harbour City, K11 Musea and Elements, or through their online portal) to receive an exclusive 15% discount on your purchase.

  • Why I love it: True wellness starts with proactive community health and supporting women at a root level. This is a meaningful way to invest in your autumn wardrobe while directly giving back to local families.

Homegrown design power in Paris

The weekly lifestyle edit Botani Bloom Paris Fashion Week

The weekly lifestyle edit - Tigerstrolling takes to the runway at Paris Fashion Week

I always get an enormous buzz seeing Hong Kong’s creative spirit take centre stage globally. Non-profit Fashion Farm Foundation once again led eight exceptional local labels straight to the official Paris Fashion Week calendar for Spring/Summer 2027. Key highlights to watch before they head to Shanghai and return home for local launches include:

  • Kinyan Lam: Volume 6 (Breathing Plants) embraces effortless silhouettes and botanical motifs—from native orchids to sensitive mimosa—dyed with natural indigo and pagoda tree buds (huaimi).

  • The World Is Your Oyster: Channeling the melancholic beauty of Bonjour Tristesse, their Wandering Summer collection brings coastal ease and ocean tones into sharp, androgynous tailoring for city life.

  • Tigerstrolling: An imaginative collection inspired by Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), using garment details as storytelling clues that mirror the inner workings of the fashion world.

  • Demo & Matt Hui: Demo softens stagewear drama into wearable everyday tailoring featuring hybrid tie-jewelry details, while Matt Hui’s debut (Live to the Fullest) playfully deconstructs nostalgic school uniforms and PE kits into joyful, modern wardrobe essentials.
