A Waldorf Astoria all-suite hotel opens in Kuala Lumpur

The Prestige Suite at Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur

The hotly anticipated Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur has finally opened its doors, revealing a residential-style, all suite urban retreat. 

The property is located in the Malaysian capital’s Golden Triangle district, featuring a wide range of upscale hotels, dining destinations, shopping malls and other attractions, including the city’s renowned Petronas Towers.

Suites have been designed with long-stay guests and multigenerational guests in mind; configurations range from one-bedroom 80 sqm spaces to the most exclusive space, the 745 sqm Waldorf Astoria Suite. Suites are designed with natural stone, warm timber, textiles and handcrafted finishes to create a calm, tactile environment. Joinery and details are inspired by traditional Malay marquetry. Each suite features space for living and rest and floor-to-ceiling windows with expansive views of the Kuala Lumpur skyline.

The hotel is earning impressive dining chops through collaborations with acclaimed chefs including Indian Michelin-starred chef Garima Arora and French-American chef and restaurant owner Jean-Georges Vongerichten, who anchor the hotel’s culinary offering. Dining spots include The Istana, Yaari, JG KL, abc kitchens KL and The Bar by JG. 

Meanwhile, the impressive Waldorf Astoria Spa is already one of Malaysia’s most extensive luxury wellness destinations with personalised La Prairie treatments, a Masters in Residence programme and workshops and immersive experiences with internationally-recognised experts in osteopathy, fitness, nutrition, yoga, pilates, Traditional Chinese Medicine and facial reflexology. Every suite contains a yoga mat and a Digital Detox Card, as well as an in-suite wellness kit with resistance bands, massage balls and a mini foam roller. The Wellness Private Bar can provide face and eye masks and a TheraFace LED mask on request.
