Aman unveils plans for Aman Maldives

Aman Maldives

This is the first time Aman has opened a property in the Maldives

Aman fans will be excited to hear that the brand has revealed plans for a new property in the Maldives.

The luxury all-villa Aman Maldives resort is described as a “blissful private island oasis”. Construction is currently underway on the ultra-luxe destination, which is located in the Vaavu atoll, one of the most secluded areas of the Maldives and about 40 miles, or 60 minutes by speedboat, north of Male and the international airport.

The 52-key resort will feature 16 branded residences and standalone pavilions. A clean and simple interior design scheme is influenced by the white coralline beaches and clear turquoise waters.

The pavilions will be available in one to three bedroom configurations, some located on the main resort island and some on island extensions. Each pavilion will have a private pool.

The super-luxe 16 Aman Residences will range from five to ten bedrooms. Each residence is set on its own islet with a private beach, 25m pool and private landing jetty.

Further facilities will include a collection of dining spaces, a beach club and  a number of private dining locations.

Aman Maldives will feature an Aman spa on its own island and offering two Spa Houses. There will also be a dive centre and watersports activity centre.

This is the first time Aman has set its sights on the Maldives and the property represents a significant milestone for the group.

“Our presence in the Maldives has long been part of our growth strategy and reinforces the brand’s dedication to providing unique and transformative experiences in the world’s most exceptional locations,” said Vlad Doronin, chairman of Aman Group. “Having secured a site in the most exclusive and secluded part of the country, I’m delighted to bring Aman’s renowned lifestyle and ultra-luxury way of living to the destination.”

As yet, no opening date has been given for Aman Maldives. Watch this space…
