Asia-based cruise company StarCruises has announced it will be homeporting a cruise ship in Hong Kong this summer.

The ship, Star Voyager, will be homeported in Hong Kong between June 27 and November, during which time it will offer two-, three- and five-night cruise options in Asia sailing from Hong Kong’s Ocean Terminal. Destinations include Okinawa in Japan and Keelung, Kaohsiun and Penghu in Taiwan.

A two-night Weekend High Seas Cruise will also be available. This mini-cruise departs Hong Kong on Friday for a relaxing weekend seacation, returning to port on Sunday.

“Under the new StarCruises brand, we are thrilled to introduce our latest cruise ship, Star Voyager, and to have her homeport in Hong Kong, a city with a longstanding history and strong connection to our brand,” said Michael Goh, president of StarDream Cruises. StarCruises is part of the Resorts World Cruises group, which also owns Dream Cruises.

Cruise options include round-trip two- and three-night sailings to Taiwan from June 29 until August 13, five-night cruises to Okinawa departing July 20 and August 3 and 17 and five-night sailings taking in both Japan and Taiwan leaving on July 27 and August 24.

There's plenty of fun onboard, with water parks, rock climbing, zipling and live entertainment. Accommodation includes a variety of staterooms, including luxury Palace Suites with 24-hour butler service.

“We are excited to welcome the return of StarCruises and the maiden homeport deployment of Star Voyager in Hong Kong,” said Dane Cheng, Hong Kong Tourism Board executive director. “StarCruises is an established cruise brand in Asia’s cruise market. Hong Kong Tourism Board will continue to collaborate closely with StarCruises and other cruise lines to attract more visitors and drive the continuous development of Hong Kong as Asia’s cruise hub.”
