Singapore Airlines launches double daily service to Gatwick

Singapore Airlines launches a 'double daily' service to London's Gatwick this month

Singapore Airlines is poised to increase its flights to London’s Gatwick airport over the summer. An expanded, double daily service will run from July until August 29 and will then resume from October 25.

The double daily service will complement the airline’s four daily flights to London Heathrow and the five-times a week service to Manchester. The route will be covered by Airbus A350-900 aircraft with business, premium economy and economy cabins.

The Gatwick service first launched in 2024 with five flights a week. This has since increased to a daily service.

According to the airline, the new schedule means it will be running 45 direct services between Singapore and the United Kingdom this summer, more than any other carrier from the region.

To celebrate the additional flights and continuing the ‘double’ theme, the airline has partnered with British artist Lydia Leith to create an exclusive Snap playing cards game for young travellers. The cards feature animals from destinations on the airline’s network.

“We’re excited to launch our double daily service from Gatwick this summer, offering customers more choice of flights to Singapore and seamless connections from our hub at Changi airport,” said Mohamed Rafi Mar, Singapore Airlines’ general manager UK and Ireland.
