Singapore welcomes Star Wars exhibition


Star Wars stormtrooper helmets on display at 'Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition'.


Singapore will be welcoming Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition at the end of January, a show featuring models and costumes from the original Star Wars film trilogy.


Featured characters include Darth Vader, R2-D2, Chewbacca, Boba Fett and Yoda and there will also be models on display, including one of the Millennium Falcon.


The event will be hosted by the ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands. The more than 200 exhibits are from the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles. They are from the original film trilogy that was filmed between 1977 and 1983, the prequels filmed between 1999 and 2005, the animated The Clone Wars from 2008-10 and the film Star Wars: The Force Awakens from 2015.


Exhibits will take visitors from concept drawings and storyboarding through to model making and costume design.


Singapore is the final stop of the exhibition’s world tour.


‘Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition’, January 30 to June 13, ArtScience Museum, Marina Bay Sands, tickets on sale from January 15 at the Marina Bay Sands Box Office or online, S$25 per adult or S$80 for a family of two adults and two children.
