Le Du in Bangkok won best restaurant at Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2023.
Bangkok’s Le Du has taken the top spot at Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants awards 2023.
The results were announced at a glitzy event last night hosted by Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore. Significantly, it was the annual awards’ first full-scale live event since the pandemic.
This year’s list includes restaurants from 19 cities across the region, including seven new entries.
Singapore and Bangkok took the highest number of top 50 spots at nine apiece, while Hong Kong had five restaurants listed.
Singapore’s Labyrinth won the Highest Climber Award, moving 29 places to number 11, while Singapore chef Louisa Lim from Odette, at number six, took out Asia’s Best Pastry Chef.
Restaurants are voted for by food writers and critics, chefs, restaurateurs and regional culinary experts.
Hong Kong’s highest entry was The Chairman at number 13, followed by Neighbourhood at 29, Wing at 37, Mono at 41 and Caprice at 49. Macau slid in with Wing Lei Palace at 39 and Sichuan Moon at 43 and Shenzhen’s Ensue appeared at 31, of which Della Tang scooped Asia’s Best Sommelier.
Meanwhile Singapore’s best restaurants comprised Odette at number six, Labyrinth at 11, Meta at 17, Zen at 21, Burnt Ends at 24, Euphoria at 25, Cloudstreet at 26, Les Amis at 27 and Born at 36.

Chef Ton and the team’s ability to combine their passion for Thailand’s culinary heritage, respect for homegrown ingredients and flair for modern cooking techniques is what makes the restaurant a true winner.”
