Family luxury at Four Seasons Singapore - review
Finding a city hotel that appeals as much to parents as it does to children can be a challenge. Stacey Marcelo finds out if one of Singapore's most established hotels is up to the brief

Four Seasons Singapore review - the hotel had plenty to offer all ages
Recently I was celebrating a milestone birthday with my best friend, Roisin. In a city packed with hotel options, we chose to check into Four Seasons Hotel Singapore. And it didn’t take long to realise why this Orchard Road favourite is such a hit with families.
Spacious suites, thoughtful children’s amenities, a rooftop family pool and excellent dining make it an easy choice for a Singapore city break, whether you’re in town on a visit or looking for a cheeky staycation.
Warm welcomes
As a travel writer I’ve stayed at many lovely hotels over the years, but every now and then one comes along that makes you feel genuinely celebrated.
From the moment I checked in at Four Seasons Singapore, I had a feeling this stay was going to be something special. The team had clearly put a huge amount of thought into our celebration. My room key was engraved with my initials, balloons filled the suite and framed photos of Roisin and myself were dotted throughout the room.
Then came the treats: birthday cake, local desserts, sparkling tea, chocolates, a pair of Four Seasons pyjamas and even an N95 mask, a thoughtful touch given the haze that week.
A new family-sized suite
Families should take note of the hotel’s new Three-Bedroom Premier Suite.
Spanning 180 square metres, the suite feels much more like a stylish Singapore apartment than a traditional hotel suite. A private entrance connects the Premier Suite with two adjoining guest rooms, creating a dedicated family enclave with three bedrooms, three marble bathrooms complete with Grown Alchemist amenities and generous communal living spaces.
This is an ideal space for multigenerational holidays, allowing families to remain together without feeling on top of one another. Another plus? The rooms are genuinely spacious. Across the hotel’s 259 rooms and suites, accommodation feels noticeably larger than many newer Singapore hotels.
Thoughtful touches for kids
What impressed me most is how family-friendly the hotel feels without sacrificing its sense of sophistication.
Young guests are welcomed with child-sized bathrobes, plush toys and activity kits, while practical perks such as the Kids Eat Free programme make travelling with little ones that bit easier. Children under five can enjoy complimentary dishes from dedicated children’s menus when dining with a paying adult.
Two pools doubles the appeal
One of the smartest features is the dedicated Family Pool. Located on the 20th floor, it’s a relaxed, sunshine-filled space with skyline views, cabanas and a charming poolside swing that children will make a beeline for.
Meanwhile, adults in search of a little peace and quiet can retreat to the lap and quiet pool on the third floor. It’s a thoughtful setup that ensures everyone gets the best of both worlds.
And there’s more than the pool deck to keep active families occupied. The hotel offers tennis, padel and a newly upgraded pickleball court with a specialised Krystal Pro surface that has a noticeably cushioned feel underfoot (note that this is the only hotel in Singapore to offer it).
Beyond the hotel, the concierge can arrange experiences including Singapore Zoo, Bird Paradise and The Intan Private Museum and Tea Experience. The Singapore Botanic Gardens are also just five minutes away by car.
Dining options
Dining is a major highlight. My personal favourite was breakfast at One-Ninety, which easily ranks among the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had in Singapore. The spread is extensive, spanning Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Singaporean and Western cuisines alongside an impressive selection of healthy options. The cutest detail, however, was the dedicated children’s corner. The selection was so appealing that I found myself eyeing the chocolate chip cookies and mini doughnuts too.
Elsewhere, there’s plenty of choice, from Michelin-selected Jiang-Nan Chun for refined Cantonese cuisine, to Nobu Singapore for its signature Japanese-Peruvian flavours, and Pool House for lighter, wellness-focused fare by the pool. Meanwhile, One-Ninety Bar and Garden@One-Ninety are perfect for aperitifs or a relaxed nightcap.
Wellness
Alongside a beautiful spa inspired by Singapore’s botanical heritage, the hotel is also home to Chi Longevity, a science-backed wellness clinic offering personalised health and longevity programmes.
While I didn’t have time to fully explore everything on offer during this trip, it remains one of the more intriguing hotel wellness concepts I’ve come across in Singapore.
Final thoughts
What makes Four Seasons Singapore stand out is how effortlessly it combines proper luxury with genuine family appeal. From spacious accommodation and thoughtful children’s amenities to outstanding service and excellent dining, everything feels designed to make family travel that little bit smoother.
I arrived expecting a memorable birthday getaway with a dear friend. I left knowing exactly where I’ll be staying on my next family trip to Singapore.
