Banyan Tree Zhuhai Phoenix Bay has opened in China's Greater Bay Area

Banyan Group has debuted a flagship Banyan Tree brand with the opening of Banyan Tree Zhuhai Phoenix Bay. The property will form a dual-branded resort complex with the neighbouring Angsana Zhuhai Phoenix Bay resort.

The hotel is located north of the city of Zhuhai at the far reach of Phoenix Bay and overlooks the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge.

An escape from the hustle and bustle of what is one of China’s most populous regions, the hotel offers rooms and suites set within landscaped courtyards and terraced gardens with mountain or sea views. Select suites feature onsen-style hot springs or private pools and open-plan oceanfront layouts ensure uninterrupted views to the horizon. At the heart of the resort, the lobby is designed as a ‘flower corridor’ and ‘water alley’ with pools of water and scented blossoms.

Facilities include a Banyan Tree Spa overlooking the bay with seven ocean-view treatment rooms. Outdoors, there is Wing Chun martial arts, singing bowl resonance and beach meditation. There’s also an ocean-view gym and a dedicated yoga room.

Cliffside hot springs feature indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna and steam rooms. The resort’s infinity pool is set alongside a terrace.

Five dining spaces include a Fujian restaurant.

“Zhuhai, as one of China’s first Special Economic Zones, holds a vital place in the Greater Bay Area’s growth story,” said Philip Ding, senior vice president at Banyan Group China. “The debut of Banyan Tree Zhuhai represents a significant step in our expansion journey across China. Here guests can rediscover romance, serenity and connection - true to our vision of creating sanctuaries for pure moments, connected with nature, with community and with self.”
