Club Med Koh Samui will open on the north coast of the popular sunshine island
Club Med is to début on the Thai holiday island of Koh Samui. The all-inclusive holiday specialist recently announced that it has signed a hotel management agreement to launch a resort on the north coast of the island around 25 minutes from Koh Samui airport.
The property will be a Club Med Exclusive Collection Resort, the third in this collection in Club Med’s East and South Asia and Pacific region. It will also be the group’s second Thai property following Club Med Phuket which opened in 1985.
Known as Club Med Exclusive Collection Koh Samui, the resort will offer a “vibrant beachfront retreat”. The 303-room resort is a redevelopment of an existing property that sits beside 200m of private beach. The planned redevelopment will include enlarged rooms and public spaces, new dining concepts and the introduction of signature Club Med programmes like the Kids’ Club and the Amazing! Family activity programme. It is anticipated that the resort will open in the second half of 2028.
According to Rachael Harding, Club Med’s chief executive officer for the ESAP region, the launch of the first Exclusive Collection Resort in Thailand reinforces the group’s commitment to providing upscale holiday experiences. “We are confident that with our international guest profiles, strong focus on premium family experiences and unmatched all-included offering of sports, activities and entertainment, Club Med Koh Samui will undoubtedly be an extraordinary, vibrant beachside haven for all.”
