Emirates has opened an airport lounge for unaccompanied minors.
Emirates' new airport lounge for kids means young travellers now have their own dedicated lounge space at Dubai International Airport.
Emirates has opened the airport lounge specifically for unaccompanied minors, located next to its First Class Lounge in Concourse B. Fun facilities include video games, drinks and snacks, free wifi and washrooms designed for children.
Youngsters booked as an Emirates Unaccompanied Minor can be dropped by their parents or guardians at Dubai Airport Terminal 3 and Emirates staff will check them in at a dedicated space between the Economy and First/Business check-in halls.
An Emirates team member will then escort them through immigration and security to the lounge and, later on, from the lounge to the boarding gate.
When it’s time to fly, youngsters will enjoy priority boarding and cabin crew on-hand to help them to their seats. They will also receive toys and activity packs, kid-sized headsets and child-friendly menus.
For young travellers who have connecting flights in Dubai, Emirates ground services team members are on-hand to escort them from their arrival flight to a dedicated unaccompanied minors lounge while they wait for their onward flight.
Emirates' unaccompanied minors service is available for children aged five to 11 years who are travelling without an adult. The service can also be booked for youngsters aged 12 to 15 years, head online for details.
