The best luxury family hotels in Singapore - splash-down at W Singapore Sentosa Cove

This popular family hotel has unveiled a new look with refurbished rooms and suites and new looks for its dining areas, spa and lounge. The hotel is also embracing its green credentials, replacing single-use plastics and introducing in-room filtration taps as well as in-house bottling for its restaurants and event spaces. The hotel has also installed almost 700 solar panels. The refreshed rooms with marina-inspired blues and natural woods offer private balconies in most room categories and super king or double queen beds dressed with pillow-top mattresses and complemented by a pillow menu. Coral orange sofas provide an additional sleeping option and slick in-room amenities include 65” televisions and Nespresso coffee machines. Bathrooms offer separate rainforest showers and tubs accessorised with MOMO bath amenities and soft robes. Hotel facilities include signature open-fire restaurant SKIRT, AWAY Spa and WET Deck.

What we love: The huge pool - the freeform pool is one of the largest in Singapore and includes a separate children's pool, waterslide and jacuzzi seats.

The best luxury family hotels in Singapore - soaking up the garden vibes at Grand Hyatt's new-look pool deck

This long-standing international hotel has recently undergone a refurbishment resulting in a stunning new look for the spa and pool deck. The Grand Wing features generously-sized rooms with walnut flooring and Peranakan-inspired acccents; some rooms include day beds that can be converted into an extra bed and connecting rooms and rollaway beds are also available. But the highlight of the redesign has to be the stunning Terrace Wing that opens onto a nature-inspired garden with interconnected garden zones planted with butterfly-attracting pollinators, koi ponds and plenty of tropical greenery. Paths meander through the foliage to the two pools including a wellness pool that's part of the stunning Damai Spa (book for great treatments plus a halo steam room, hydro pool and dual therapy sauna) and a second, larger pool, perfect for swimming-aged kids, with cascading waterfalls and lots of discreet sun loungers dotted amongst the leaves. And the hotel's location on Orchard Road places you at the centre of the action.

What we love: Escaping to the stunning nature-inspired pool area which feels a million miles away from the bustle of Orchard Road.

Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree

best family hotels in Singapore

The best luxury family hotels in Singapore - families are catered for with in-room bunks, playgrounds and a kids' club

Banyan Tree’s debut property in the Lion City opened early in 2025 and is the city’s first luxury resort set within a rainforest. Located amongst almost five hectares of greenery, the resort has carefully retained the site’s natural terrain, including a 12m rain tree and an Indian beech tree. The resort features treehouses suspended amongst the forest canopy designed to resemble seed pods, while the adjacent five-storey resort building includes rooms and suites with views of the forest and Seletar Reservoir. Sustainability is at the heart of the resort and rooms feature interactive displays that monitor power usage, gently nudging guests when consumption increases. Full length windows provide natural ventilation and loos are flushed with carefully harvested rainwater. Families can take advantage of in-room bunks, a kids’ club, an outdoor playground and wildlife programmes. Guests can also access Singapore Zoo, NIght Safari, River Wonders, Rainforest Wild Asia, Bird Paradise and Curiosity Cove, all located within the Mandai Wildlife Reserve.

What we love: This highly unusual resort offers the chance to embrace the wilder side of one of Asia's most built-up cities.

Hilton Singapore Orchard

The best luxury family hotels in Singapore - enjoy fun dining at Hilton Singapore Orchard

The smart and sophisticated Hilton Singapore Orchard launched in 2022 on the site of the former Mandarin Oriental hotel following a multi-million dollar upgrade of the building. The dual-tower property now stands as the largest Hilton property in the Asia Pacific region, with more than 1,000 rooms, five restaurants and bars, an outdoor pool and a 24-hour gym. One tower remains as the Mandarin Wing, while the Orchard Wing references the hotel’s location at the heart of Singapore’s famous shopping district. The hotel’s 1,080 rooms include 60 suites and almost 300 connecting rooms, ideal for family groups. Children are instantly made welcome at the hotel with a colourful backpack gift containing coloured pencils, an origami set, activity book and plush toy. But the dining options are where this hotel really stands out - the family-friendly Osteria Mozza is great fun and the only Asian outpost of California's one-Michelin starred Osteria Mozza, founded by US celebrity chef Nancy Silverton. Meanwhile, the breakfast buffet at Estate is one of the best in town.

What we love: The middle-of-the-action location right in the heart of Orchard Road and the brilliant breakfast - think kids' stations and every food item imaginable.

This Shangri-La-owned property is hugely popular with holidaying families and with good reason. It is one of Sentosa’s only beachside resorts and it also comes with a huge resort pool including shallow areas for littlies, water slides and a splash pad. Kids will love the dedicated ‘Cool Zone’ kids’ club with a fun treehouse and the kids’ club team organises daily activities around the hotel. The resort also boasts Nestopia, a huge outdoor play area with 17 different play sections and two of the longest slides on Sentosa (entry fees apply). Rasa Sentosa is a great pick for families heading to Singapore with heaps of daily activities. The handy Sentosa Express low-rider and stroller-friendly bus stops right by the hotel making it super-easy to explore the island. Rides around Sentosa are complimentary and there's also a regular free-of-charge shuttle bus linking the hotel with Singapore's MRT at Vivo City shopping mall.

What we love: The laid-back resort feel in what is one of Asia's busiest cities; relax by the beach or head off for some urban action in town.

The best luxury family hotels in Singapore - the hotel has a dedicated kids water park and indoor play zone

Singapore's second Shangri-La property is located in the city and is perfectly geared to visiting families and multi-generational groups. The hotel recently unveiled Splash, a brand new aqua playpark and family pool, an extension of the Buds by Shangri-La interactive play space for children. The 1,300sqft park boasts six water play areas, including a family pool as well as plenty of lounging space on the pool decks for mums and dads. Meander the lazy river or slip down the vertical slide drops, splash around with water spouts and jet cannons or wade the shallow pools with youngsters. Indoors is one of Singapore's best indoor play areas, Buds by Shangri-La. The hotel's Tower Wing also has a floor dedicated to holidaying families with deluxe family rooms and two-bedroom themed family suites. The rooms come with kids' amenities such as children's toilet seats in the bathroom, baby baths and children's toiletries. Additional baby supplies are available from the Pantry which can be accessed by whole floor and is stocked with essentials like strollers, cots, high chairs, bouncers, bath toys and more.

What we love: Buds by Shangri-La is one of Singapore's best indoor playgrounds and is open between 9am and 10pm, seven days a week - both Buds and Splash are also open to non-hotel guests.

Raffles Sentosa Singapore

best family hotels in Singapore

The best luxury family hotels in Singapore - Raffles Sentosa Singapore is the country's first all-villa resort

This plush resort opened early in 2025 as Singapore's first all-villa property and the country's second Raffles hotel. Raffles Sentosa Singapore is located atop a hill amidst acres of tropical greenery and with direct access to Tanjong beach. The resort also offers access to award winning local golf courses. Designed by the Yabu Pushelberg Studio, the resort features 62 villas that come as entry point one-bedroom pool villas, as well as multiple bedroom villas which would suit families. At the top of the tree is the 650sqm, four-bedroom Royal Villa. All villas have private pools (no need to pack-up beach bags and maneouvre kids out of the villa for a cooling dip), an outdoor terrace and butler service. The property is described as a “haven” of wellbeing, with a spa house in a converted heritage building offering 13 treatment rooms. Dining options include five dining spaces as well as private dining. The resort’s signature Empire Grill specialises in Italian cuisine, while Royal China offers Canotense fare. There's Japanese omakase-style dining at Hashida and the famed Raffles afternoon tea is served in the Raffles Room. The brand’s world renowned Singapore Sling is also available (natch).

What we love: The decadence of a Raffles hotel in such a natural environment - the majestic, century-old ficus tree at the arrival hall, peacocks strutting around the resort pool and the proximity of the lush island rainforest.
