Hong Kong Disneyland 10K Weekend is back

The event has been mothballed for the last three years.

The AIA Hong Kong Disneyland 10K Weekend is back! For those of us who can remember as long ago as 2018, this was once a fun annual event held through and around Hong Kong Disneyland in the lead-up to Christmas.

Fast forward to 2023 and the event, now known as Hong Kong Disneyland 10K Weekend 2023 - Presented by AIA Vitality, will take place on the weekend of March 18-19, with online registration open from November through to January, 2023.

Race categories will include a Marvel Super Heroes 10k for participants 16 years and over, a Pixar Pals five-kilometre run for 14 years-plus, a Duffy and Friends three-kilometre event for three year olds and up and a Mickey and Friends Kids Race for youngsters aged five years and under.

The 2023 event will also celebrate the centenary of the Walt Disney Company. The route will take participants around different lands in the park, as well as through the archway of the Castle of Magical Dreams for the first time, and Disney characters will line the route cheering on runners.

The event will be wheelchair- and disability-friendly and Hong Kong Disneyland will be donating a portion of race proceeds to the Hong Kong Federation of Handicapped Youth.

Participants will receive a complimentary centenary-themed runner’s pack with a Disney-themed running tee designed by race sponsor Skechers, a race bib, bib buttons and a themed mask. Everyone will receive a medal at the finish line.

Hong Kong Disneyland will also be offering a ‘10K Weekend Hotel Package’ at its Disney Explorers Lodge. Overnight guests will receive a ‘Runner’s Breakfast Pack’ and will be able to pick-up their runner’s pack via an express lane. There will also be a post-race buffet provided for guests.

Registration opens on November 28 and closes on January 6, 2023. Magic Access members can access early bird registration from November 21-24.
