The all-suite Raffles at Galaxy Macau.
The glamorous, all-suite Raffles at Galaxy Macau will be opening in the second half of this year, it has been confirmed.
The sleek property is a far cry from the original dazzling white colonial-style Raffles hotel in Singapore, but it certainly lends yet another splash of bling to Hong Kong’s glitzy neighbour.
Raffles at Galaxy Macau is located on the east promenade of the Galaxy Entertainment Group’s (GEG) integrated resort. The 450 suite property will feature glass air bridges on every floor connecting its two towers and a selection of suites will boast private pools and gardens. There will also be a small number of ‘loft suites’ with double-storey windows.
High-tech add-ons include a Samsung The Frame in each suite, which flicks from globally curated art to in-room entertainment at a single click.
Raffles’ renowned afternoon tea will of course be available and the hotel has also developed its own ‘sling’ after Singapore’s famous tipple served in its historic Long Bar.
Breakfast can be taken in The Glass House, which is set within a Mediterranean-inspired garden and is steps away from the Raffles infinity-edge pool.
There will also be a spa and there are rumours of a speciality restaurant helmed by a Michelin-starred Japanese chef, but full details are yet to be revealed. However, it has been confirmed that Raffles’ infamous butlers will be in residence.
The Raffles brand falls under Accor international hospitality group and Accor will be collaborating with GEG for this latest property launch.
“This collaboration with GEG marks an important milestone for Raffles Hotels & Resorts and creates a stunning addition to the excitement in Macau,” commented Sebastien Bazin, chairman and chief executive officer with Accor. “As a future flagship of Accor’s luxury portfolio, we are confident that Raffles at Galaxy Macau will exceed our guests’ expectations.”
Raffles at Galaxy Macau joins 15 other prestigious Raffles properties all over the world that have opened over the past 133 years. They include hotels in Shenzhen and Hainan in Greater China, as well as Paris, Istanbul, Dubai, Warsaw, Jakarta and Seychelles.
