Macau welcomes Studio City Water Park

Studio City Water Park in Macau opened this week.

Macau has welcomed a brand new water park this week. The much anticipated Studio City Water Park at Studio City Macau has finally splashed down with a bucket-full of family friendly rides, including a towering 20 metre slide complex.

Thrill seekers can hurl themselves around Highpoint Twister with five attractions including Tornado, a free-fall body slide with a 360 degree body loop and the fastest ride in the park. Super Typhoon is a family-friendly raft that zig-zags its way through spins and turns and finally plummets into a zero-gravity free fall. And high-speed rides Hurricane, Storm Chaser Gold and Storm Chaser Silver complete the complex.

The water park welcomed its first guests this week as the region experienced one of the hottest springs on record.

Littlies (and those of a less adrenaline-loving disposition) will enjoy Little Lagoon, a child-friendly playground with a fountain, slides and a mini replica of the high-octane Super Typhoon ride, as well as plenty of lounge seating and shade.

Don’t miss the Golden Bucket, which tips out nearly two tonnes of water every five minutes. It also boasts an impressive 60 water spray features, two mini racing slides and two body slides.

Highpoint Twister winds its way past Studio City Macau.

Or enjoy RiverScape, a 450m ‘action river’ with hidden beaches and splash pools (and - note to mums and dads - a swim-up bar).

Day and season passes are available, as well as a Splashing Summer Fun Hotel package with hotel options including Studio City Celebrity Tower, Morpheus, NUWA at City of Dreams and Altira Macau.

Open daily from midday to 8pm; Studio City Water Park, Level 3, West Wing, Studio City Macau; Daily Pass MOP388, Season Pass MOP1,088. Tickets can be booked online.
