Mandarin Oriental The Landmark - a new champagne bar joins the dining offerings at the hotel
A champagne bar is just one of the new experiences being unveiled at Hong Kong’s Mandarin Oriental The Landmark hotel.
The hotel is currently undergoing a multi-million-dollar renovation as part of the city’s Tomorrow’s CENTRAL regeneration project. It has now been announced that the hotel will reopen on June 1 with a new lobby, refreshed rooms and suites and expanded dining and wellness offerings.
Changes at the Central-located hotel will include a new-look entrance, the Mansion Foyer, on Queen’s Road Central. The arrival experience has been designed by Hong Kong interior architect Joyce Wang and includes a curved stone staircase that rises from a mansion-style foyer to a lobby lounge. Alcoves display especially commissioned artworks inspired by Hong Kong. Carpet designs and tapestries also reflect this theme.

The ground floor foyer uses warm terracottas and deep greens to echo the façades and gardens of Hong Kong historic homes such as Yu Yuen and the opulent Tai Fu Tai residence in the New Territories.
Wang has also worked her magic on the hotel’s 109 rooms and suites, including the decadent Entertainment Suite with state-of-the-art entertainment wall, Gaggenau kitchen, private dining for eight and master bedroom with a FreshBed climate-controlled sleep system. Entry-level L450 rooms feature lightened timber floors, patinated walls, silk wall coverings and custom rugs.

Landmark is renowned for its dining offerings and boasts no fewer than seven Michelin stars and a Michelin green star. Flagship restaurant Amber holds three stars and a green star and the dining experience is now enhanced with the Cellar Immersion, an immersive food and wine journey inside the Amber cellar. The signature experience offers a curated exploration of terroir, craftsmanship and vintages. On the same floor, three-Michelin-starred Sushi Shikon, Michelin-starred Kappo Rin and French bistro SOMM have been joined by BLANC DE NOIRS, a new champagne bar serving premium cuvées. A new coffee atelier, COMMUNE, joins the hotel’s dining offering in the hotel lobby.
And in July, the hotel will reopen its refreshed spa and wellness hub with dedicated studios for yoga, pilates and Gyrontonic, a state-of-the-art gym and a lap pool.
To celebrate the reopening, the hotel is offering a ‘Taste of the Next’ offer for bookings made before August 31 for stays between June 1 and November 30. Prices start from $7,200 for L600 rooms including a $3,000 dining credit, bookings at lmhkg-reservations@mohg.com.
