Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong

Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong is due to open later this year

Brand new hotel Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong is set to open in Hong Kong this autumn. International hotel group IHG has confirmed that the new property will launch in quarter three of this year.

What’s more, Leading Nation Hospitality Group has announced it will be working with the hotel to launch two dining spaces.

Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong is set to open on Middle Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, on the site of the historic Mariner’s Club. The building was demolished in 2018 and the new construction will comprise almost 500 guest rooms and is set to be one of Kimpton’s largest properties. It will be both pet and family friendly.

Facilities will include a rooftop pool on the 50th floor, a wellness centre,  sky garden and five dining options. The Kimpton Kids Programme will include family-friendly dining where kids under 12 years old eat free. Restaurants include casual café, Birdsong, which will serve Elephant Grounds coffees, Hillside, which will focus on a buffet breakfast in the morning and dai pai dong-style dining in the evening, Swim Club by the pool on the 50th floor and High Dive cocktail lounge.

Leading Nation will work with IHG to launch the rooftop bar and pool concept, due to open in quarter four of this year. And the group will also be partnering with Hong Kong chef Vicky Lau to open JĪJĀ, a modern Chinese restaurant that will be operated independently by Leading Nation.

Kimpton is a US-based hospitality brand owned by IHG Hotels & Resorts. IHG also operates InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong, Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Kowloon East and Holiday Inn Golden Mile Hong Kong. Further Kimpton hotels are located in major cities including Los Angeles, London and Bangkok. The Hong Kong property will be the largest in its portfolio.
