The Chedi Katara Hotel & Resort is due to open next summer.
The brand new Chedi Katara Hotel & Resort resort is set to open in Qatar in the Middle East, it has been announced.
Doha is the location of the family-friendly property, which is expected to launch ahead of the FIFA World Cup next summer.
The Chedi Katara Hotel & Resort sits on the beachfront and within the 100-hectare Katara Cultural District.
The village offers theatres, concert halls, galleries, mosques, restaurants, shops, a park and an open-air amphitheatre, all of which will be accessible from the resort either by foot or buggy.
The 91-key resort will include 32 one- to five-bedroom villas spread amongst the landscaped gardens, all with private gardens and pools.
The heritage design of the Chedi Katara Hotel & Resort takes its cue from Indian Mughal architecture with a “touch of Ottoman influence”. The main hotel building will house a lobby lounge, a spa and fitness centre and rooms and suites with terrace views over the Arabian Gulf and Doha skyline.
A swimming pool will line the beachfront, with a second infinity pool at the stand-alone Beach Club.
Further Chedi properties around the world include The Chedi Al Bait in Sharjah, The Chedi Muscat in Oman, The Chedi Andermatt Switzerland and The Chedi Hotel & Residences Lustica Bay in Montenegro.
