Sail to sunny Phuket with Resorts World Cruises.
Phuket looks set to be the next hot cruise destination for residents of Asia as Resorts World Cruises launches three- and five-night itineraries to the Thai island from Singapore and Kuala Lumpur at the end of this month.
Guests will sail on board Genting Dream, the ship that was last spotted on pandemic-inspired cruises-to-nowhere in Hong Kong. When Hong Kong-based Genting Cruiselines collapsed last year, its flagship vessel, Genting Dream, was brought over to Singapore to début with the newly formed Resorts World Cruises. Resorts World Cruises now aims to position itself as the leading cruise line in the region.
Guests can hop on board in Singapore for a five-night cruise to Phuket, stopping in Kuala Lumpur and Penang along the way. Departure dates are listed as November 20 and March 12, 2023. Or leave from Port Klang in Kuala Lumpur for a five-night Penang-Phuket-Singapore cruise. Departures for this option are November 21 or March 13, 2023. And bookings open on November 15 for a three-night cruise option between Singapore and Phuket.
On landing in Phuket, Resorts World Cruises will offer a range of guided shore excursions, including boat trips to the sun-drenched islands of Phi Phi Ley - home to the world-renowned Maya Bay - Phi Phi Don and Bamboo Island, elephant sanctuaries, Phuket Old Town, the Big Buddha, Wat Chalong and various street markets and malls.
On board, there will be stage performances at the 1,000-seat Zodiac Theatre, a six-slide water park, a climbing wall, zip lines, rope courses and a kids club - or slip away to the ship’s spa. Book into the fancy ‘Palace’ accommodation at the front of the boat and enjoy a 24-hour butler service and enhanced facilities.
