Novotel and Movenpick hotels are set to open at 'mega-resorts' that are currently under development in southern Vietnam.

Covering 1,000 hectares, NovaWorld Phan Thiet is a huge mixed-use resort of entertainment and sports facilities along seven kilometres of coastline on Vietnam’s southern coast.

The project includes a theme park, waterpark, ocean park with marina, 36-hole golf course, 7,000-seater stadium, 3,500-seater tennis court, marathon track, shopping centre, food courts and no fewer than 20 hotels.

International hospitality group Accor will be behind two of the properties, opening Movenpick Phan Thiet and NovoWorld Phan Thiet as part of the development.

Both hotels will offer restaurants, wellness facilities, pools and kids clubs.

Meanwhile, 90 minutes from Ho Chi Minh City NovaWorld Ho Tram resort, tourism and entertainment complex is also under development. Again, it covers 1,000 hectares offering mixed use entertainment and accommodation, including Movenpick Ho Tram with all-day dining, spa, gym, pool and kids club.

“As a strategic partner of Novaland, we are proud to be part of these remarkable projects,” said Garth Simmons, chief executive officer with Accor. “With their untouched natural beauty, both destinations are very promising and have the potential to be the most visited coastal area in the country.”
