Paradox Singapore Merchant Court at Clarke Quay opens

Paradox Singapore Merchant Court at Clarke Quay has opened.

Canadian hospitality arrives in Singapore today with the launch of Paradox Singapore Merchant Court at Clarke Quay.

Originally Swissotel Merchant Court, the 476-room property has been rebranded by Canadian hotel group, Paradox, under global hotelier and developer, TA Global.

Paradox Singapore Merchant Court is located at the heart of the city’s buzzing Clarke Quay area with easy access to the city's Central Business District and the Singapore River. The colonial-style hotel boasts spacious rooms and suites and river-view dining at the award-winning Ellenborough Market Cafe, which will be serving a fusion of Peranakan and international dishes. The hotel will also be shaking up handcrafted cocktails at the Crossroads Bar.

Further attractions include a pool area with free-form swimming pool, children’s pool, waterslides and outdoor jacuzzi, a spa and a gym.

The Paradox Hotel Group launched its first Paradox-branded hotel, Paradox Hotel Vancouver, in Canada, followed by Summit Lodge Boutique Hotel and Aava Hotel in Whistler, and then Paradox Resort & Residences in Karon Beach Phuket, Thailand. Paradox Singapore Merchant Court at Clarke Quay is the group's second property in the Asia-Pacific region.

“Singapore is a melting pot of culture and history,” said Rainer Tenius, general manager of Paradox Singapore Merchant Court at Clarke Quay. “Whilst preserving the unique character of our hotel, we are committed to showcasing the best in authentic hospitality, which is particularly important to us as international travel begins to open up. We’re excited to be part of the Paradox family… our team looks forward to welcoming guests to our hotel for a delightful and memorable stay.”

TA Global plans to expand Paradox’s international presence with new boutique lifestyle hotels and resorts over the next decade. Watch this space…
