Qatar Airways is celebrating quarter-of-a-century in the air.
Qatar Airways is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year with the launch of a global promotion.
Passengers who join the airline’s loyalty programme, Privilege Club, before January 18 and using the enrolment code FLYQR22 will automatically earn 2,500 bonus Qmiles.
Plus, there are savings of up to 25% on flight tickets booked between January 12 and 18 for trips taken before November 1, 2022. And there’s also up to 25% off pre-purchase of extra baggage and preferred seats.
Qatar Airways was established in 1997 by His Highness The Father Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and was recently named ‘Airline of the Year’ for the sixth time by international ratings organisation Skytrax. It currently flies to around 140 destinations.
Last year Qatar Airways became the first airline to achieve a 5-Star Covid-19 Airline Safety Rating by Skytrax. It’s home port of Hamad International Airport was the first airport in the Middle East and Asia to receive a Skytrax 5-Star Covid-19 Airport Safety Rating.
The airline has also announced that Silver, Gold and Platinum Privilege Club members whose tier status is due for renewal before December 2022 will have their status extended.
Despite worsening travel conditions in Hong Kong, budget carrier HK Express will be flying weekly between it and Singapore next month.
Fully vaccinated holidaymakers just need a PCR departure test to enjoy a break in Qatar.
