The Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix is finally going ahead this autumn following a two-year hiatus during the pandemic.
If you’re hoping to head over for the event, special accommodation packages are starting to open up, including this deal from Hmlet Cantonment.
The ‘Zoom To Your Room’ package at the Cantonment Road hotel is offering a free room upgrade for stays during the race weekend. Rates start from S$280 per night for stays of a minimum of six nights between September 24 and October 7 and bookings can be made until July 31.
Hmlet Cantonment is a ten-minute drive from Orchard Road and facilities include a wellness studio, plunge pool and outdoor deck and garden.
“With hotels expecting a full house since the cancellation of the last two races, this package is a great and affordable alternative considering that additional FORMULA 1 tax charges of between 20 and 30% are generally imposed for hotel stays during the event,” said Hmlet chief executive officer Giselle Makarachvili.
The Singapore Grand Prix is part of the Formula One World Championship and takes place on the Marina Bay Street Circuit. The race covers 61 laps of the 5.063-kilometre circuit and this year the event takes place over the weekend of Friday September 30 to Sunday October 2.
