The Study in Europe Fair returns to Hong Kong this November
If you have children interested in studying at university in Europe, the Study in Europe Fair is returning to Hong Kong this November.
The European Union Office to Hong Kong and Macao and the Consulates-General of 12 European Member States will present exchange and degree opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students at the fair. The event will also introduce the EU’s flagship Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters programmes and scholarship opportunities. Local alumni will be attending the fair to share their learning experiences in Europe.
The EU is considered a hub for affordable, globally-recognised higher education. Universities offer an extensive choice of bachelor and master courses and doctoral study programmes which are increasingly taught in English.
“The EU’s student-friendly policies and extensive scholarship opportunities make studying at our excellent universities more accessible than ever for students from Hong Kong and Macao,” said Harvey Rouse, ambassador and head of office of the European Union Office to Hong Kong and Macao SAR. “I also invite you to discover our outstanding Erasmus Mundus Masters programmes. They offer students the unique opportunity to study at highly renowned institutions in three different countries, two of them within the EU.”
EMJM programmes are high-level integrated study programmes at master level. An EMJM involves at least three higher education institutions from three different countries, at least two of which must be EU member states. Students from all over the world are welcome to apply and the EU provides funding for running the programmes as well as competitive scholarship opportunities.
With 27 member states, the EU is one of the most diverse areas of the world in which to study. As well as academic qualifications, studying in Europe also offers students the chance to learn new languages and discover new cultures.
Study in Europe Fair, 10.30am to 5pm, November 7, Rayson Huang Theatre, Run Run Shaw Building, University of Hong Kong (MTR exit A2, HKU station); entrance is free but advance registration is required.
