Sushi in the snow with Zuma Restaurant

Japanese-style dining hotspot Zuma Restaurant will be popping up in the ski resort of Niseko this winter. The dining ‘hot’ spot says it’s ‘thrilled” to announce the exclusive pop-up which is now open for reservations. The move comes ahead of Zuma’s 25th anniversary celebrations.

The snowy dining venue is located in the heart of the Hirafu area and a few minutes drive from the Niseko Tokyu Grand Hirafu slopes. Diners can expect a cosy experience with custom-designed wool bouclé winter furniture in a lamp-lit space, with views of the open kitchen. The robata counter takes centre stage and there’s a front-of-house wine cellar stocked with an extensive wine and sake collection.

The menu showcases Zuma’s contemporary Japanese cuisine with freshly prepared nigiri, sashimi and signature dishes from the kitchen and robata grill.

The venue will open seven days a week with après ski drinks from 3pm and restaurant service from 5pm; zumarestaurant.com.
