Terrace Boulud opens in Hong Kong this month
Anticipation is building for the opening of one of Hong Kong’s most exciting new restaurant launches, Terrace Boulud.
Helmed by Michelin-starred French celebrity chef, Daniel Boulud, the dining spot has been created in partnership with Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, and takes a prime spot on the 25th floor of Landmark Prince’s with sweeping city and harbour views. It's linked to the hotel via an enclosed walkway. This is the first time Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong has opened a restaurant outside of the hotel and the dining spot will be Boulud’s inaugural presence in Asia.Â
Terrace Boulud replaces Sevva, a well-renowned cocktail lounge and dining spot which closed in May 2024. The new restaurant is part of Hongkong Land’s billion-dollar ‘Tomorrow’s Central’ redevelopment which will eventually see more than 100 food and beverage spots opening across Landmark’s four interconnected buildings and a major refurbishment of Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong.Â
Boulud was raised near Lyon, France’s gastronomic capital, and has spent more than four decades building his restaurant group, with kitchens around the world. Myriad plaudits include a Lifetime Achievement Award from The World’s 50 Best Restaurants.Â

This is chef Daniel Boulud's debut restaurant in Asia
Terrace Boulud is styled as a French brasserie with a menu framed around the four pillars of ‘La Tradition’, ‘La Saison’, ‘Le Potager’ and ‘Le Voyage’, reflecting French culinary heritage, seasonality, appreciation of produce and global influences.
An exciting fifth pillar, a DB x MO Dim Sum collaboration, sees Cantonese-influenced dishes served alongside French brasserie classics. There will also be a raw seafood bar and grill.
The extensive wine list features more than 300 French labels, with champagne at its core. There will also be an Asian-inspired cocktail menu.Â
The kitchen will be led by executive chef Aurélie Altemaire, whose career credits include Epicure and Le Bristol in Paris and ten years with Joël Robuchon in London.Â
The space comprises a central green onyx bar, a dining room and a rooftop terrace and will be open for lunch, afternoon tea, aperitifs and evening dining, with DJs and live performers. Families are welcome but after 9pm diners must be aged 12 years and above.
