WE ARE ONA

Hong Kong Art Month 2026 - dining at atom tables at Terrace Boulud
What is it
This popular event returns to Hong Kong for its second pop-up during Art Basel Hong Kong. Hosted by Landmark, the immersive WE ARE ONA unfolds this year in collaboration with artist and designer, Lea Colombo, and Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud, of Terrace Boulud by Mandarin Oriental fame. The event is a ‘culinary studio’ that aims to bring together talents from the worlds of gastronomy, art and design, and is led by founder and sommelier Luca Pronzato. The project explores the boundaries of traditional fine dining, combining creativity and innovation.
Art to look out for
Multi-disciplinary artist Lea Colombo has conceived a vibrant, immersive setting where colour, texture and light converge. At its centre, modular atom tables (formed by intersecting atom shapes) explore connection through balance and tension. Their high-gloss forms create constellations of colour, each hue carrying its own emotional energy (red for grounding, yellow for vitality, blue for depth, green for expansion, magenta for transformation). Boulud, meanwhile, has created an expressive menu grounded in seasonality which culminates with a luminous, fruit-forward dessert.

What is it
The 2026 edition of The Peninsula Hotels Art in Resonance during Hong Kong Art Month welcomes commissioned works by Hong Kong artist Angel Hui and architect-artist Dr William Lim, alongside Tokyo-based Indonesian ceramicist Albert Yonathan Setyawan in partnership with the Victoria & Albert Museum. Artwork adorns the façade of the hotel and the hotel lobby and there’s an immersive artist takeover of The Verandah Café.
Art to look out for
Look out for the shimmering 'Swimming in Light' installation by Hong Kong artist Angel Hui on the hotel façade. The artwork adorns the first food windows of The Verandah with Hui’s signature embroidered goldfish and a colourful reimagining of the hotel’s awning and Rolls Royce fleet. In the lobby, Setayawan’s 'Metamorphic Modulation' installation explores form and ambiguity of perception and is made up of more than 700 hand-modelled ceramic pieces of work. The Verandah Café welcomes 'Walking On A Bright Future', with the space transformed into an 'enticing landscape' with a hand-tufted wall tapestry and a chequer-patterned carpet crafted by Tai Ping artisans. It is based on the oil painting, 'A Bright Future', by Dr Wiliam Lim, the artist who has also curated the space.
