Art with heart at EAST Hong Kong - the exhibition runs until the end of the month

There is something profoundly moving about watching a community come together to lift its youngest members, writes Ifat Kafry Hindes. And this month, Hong Kong-based social enterprise r é n is doing exactly that through a beautiful new lens.

Known for their incredible work creating hospitality opportunities for underprivileged youth, r é n is now expanding its reach into the arts with r é n @ EAST | Art & Community. This collaboration with EAST Hong Kong transforms the hotel into a vibrant, contemporary gallery, proving that art and hospitality are both, at their core, about human connection.

From now until April 30, the EAST lobby will house the works of five incredible artists: London-based emerging talents Olivia Jeeyun Joung, Marcelle Rosfelder-Leu, and Ho Long Pang, alongside our very own local creatives DD Yung and Joyce Chiang. While their styles range from tactile textiles to light installations, they are united by a shared mission, lowering the barriers to entry in the creative world.

Beyond the exhibition, don’t miss the rénny pop-up at Domain for exclusive merchandise, or the chance to sip an Art Month cocktail at the hotel's rooftop bar, Sugar, while enjoying views across the city. It’s a curated experience that celebrates resilience and the 'good egg' spirit we all need a little more of.

By bridging the gap between established industries and aspiring creators, this partnership reminds us that a city is only as vibrant as the opportunities it provides for everyone to bloom.

r é n @ EAST | Art & Community, until April 30, G/F & 1/F, EAST Hong Kong, 29 Taikoo Shing Street, Taikoo Shing, Hong Kong.
