Tiffany’s Blue Box Café has landed in Causeway Bay. Lifestyle editor Ifat Kafry Hindes glams up her day with an exclusive menu tasting

There’s a little magic that happens when you step into the world of Tiffany & Co. It’s a space filled with glamour, energy and - of course - that signature robin’s egg blue.

I was recently invited to experience the brand new Tiffany Blue Box Café inside the gorgeous new Tiffany flagship at Lee Garden Three in Causeway Bay. Inspired by the original concept at The Landmark in New York, this stunning space brings a slice of Fifth Avenue chic straight to Hong Kong.

And parents, take note: this isn't just a spot for grown-up indulgence. High luxury and genuine family warmth are beautifully aligned here.

High-end luxury with a warm family welcome

I was immediately impressed by the stunning interiors and the immaculate attention to detail. And in an increasingly dress-down world, it's reassuring to know that certain destinations consider themselves worthy of a dress code - smart casual is the order of the day at the Blue Box Café, and no tank tops, shorts, flip flops or sports attire.

But as a mum, I know it’s a clever venue that masters the delicate balance of luxury and genuine family-welcoming hospitality. Often, high-end spaces can feel a touch too delicate or intimidating for children. But not here. Little ones are warmly invited; so whether you’re lining up a special morning ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ experience or settling in for a leisurely weekend lunch, the Blue Box Café team treats every guest, big or small, like royalty.

Culinary artistry by Chef Agustin Balbi

The menu, developed under the brilliant culinary direction of Chef Agustin Balbi (the mastermind behind Hong Kong's Michelin-starred Andō), is wonderful. It blends global elegance with local appreciation and my exclusive tasting was paired with sparkling tea - the perfect refreshing touch to complement the meal.

These were the standout highlights:

The starters

  • Hokkaido Scallop Carpaccio: Incredibly fresh, offset beautifully by a bright pineapple salsa and the salty crunch of crispy kombu.

  • Tuna Tartare: A luxurious start featuring smoked soy, shallots and rich Oscietra caviar on tapioca chips.

  • Seasonal Tomato Collection: A refreshing burrata dish with extra virgin olive oil and a subtle, warming chilli dressing.

The mains

  • Spanish Red Prawn Rice: Designed for two to share, this dish is rich, deeply savoury and singing with a coral emulsion and fresh lemon.

  • Tiffany Burger & Club Sandwich: Upscale comfort food at its finest. The burger is a guaranteed hit for children, while the Club Sandwich gets a fantastic, punchy twist with homemade kimchi.

  • Grilled Prime Argentinian Angus Beef Tenderloin: Melt-in-your-mouth perfection paired with a vibrant salsa verde.

Sweet endings

  • The Tiffany Blue Cake: Almost too beautiful to eat! It's a decadent masterpiece of hazelnut and salted caramel.

  • Strawberry, Meringue and Coconut Ice Cream: Light, refreshing and an absolute favourite for younger palates.

Editor's tip: While the lunch items I was invited to try were spectacular, you absolutely must line up the breakfast experience. Starting your morning here brings that dreamy 'Breakfast at Tiffany’s' fantasy to life, with exquisitely crafted, picture-perfect breakfast plates. Breakfast at Tiffany's is served daily from 11am to 9pm.
