FIFA Museum comes to Hong Kong - the FIFA Musuem in Zurich
A special FIFA exhibition will be popping up in Hong Kong ahead of the FIFA World Cup in North America this summer.
Showcasing football’s rich heritage, the exhibition will lead visitors on an immersive journey of what is the biggest sporting event in the world. Featuring a selection of trophies, multimedia installations and stories curated by the FIFA Museum in Zurich, the Hong Kong exhibition will celebrate memorable FIFA World Cup moments and milestones from the FIFA Women’s World Cup. The exhibition will be brought to Hong Kong in partnership with investment firm, Asia Partners.
Highlights will include a purpose-built cinema space screening the FIFA Museum’s popular short films, ‘The Final’ and ‘The Path of Champions’. The jerseys of all 211 FIFA Member Associations will form a visually striking ‘The Rainbow’ installation.
“We’re excited to present FIFA Museum Hong Kong and bring the rich heritage and culture of the global game to audiences in this wonderful city,” said Marco Fazzone, managing director of the FIFA Museum. “By presenting original objects and their stories from our official FIFA Museum collection, we look forward to offering visitors in Hong Kong a fantastic chance to experience football’s fascinating history, unforgettable moments and iconic teams and players that have shaped the game.”
Located at Tessinerplatz in the heart of Zurich, Switzerland, the FIFA Museum celebrates the heritage and history of football through interactive exhibits and displays, with all features available in English.
“Asia Partners is proud to bring the FIFA Museum to Hong Kong and to collaborate on this exciting international project,” said Filipe Gonçalves, chairman of Asia Partners. “The exhibition will offer local football fans, cultural enthusiasts, children and families, as well as tourists in Hong Kong and across the region, a unique opportunity to experience the rich heritage and global story of international football.
