The hotel is collaborating with Malaysia’s Texture Patisserie for an afternoon tea that blends rich sweet treats with savoury delights. Dessert highlights include the Signature Roll Cakes by Texture Patisserie, including Gula Melaka Pandan Roll Cake and Pure Vanilla Roll Cake. Alongside is a chocolate caramel tart and a refreshing pamplemousse cheesecake. Savoury highlights include a variety of finger sandwiches. And of course there are freshly baked scones, served with clotted cream and kaya or apricot jam.

The Lobby Café at Wan Chai’s Hopewell Hotel is serving a floral afternoon tea featuring eight treats presented in a charmingly decorated wooden box. ‘Blooms & Sweets Afternoon Tea’ features eight tea treats, four savoury and four sweet. Fruit-infused sweet treats include homemade dried pineapple and lime choux wraps, Japanese-style almond and passion fruit sunshine mousse cake, Amanatsu Mikan Blossom Cake and Coconut Crispy Domes filled with coconut mousse and coconut praline. Naturally there are scones, fruit scones in this instance, served with jam and cream.

Celebrate autumn catches with a seasonal seaside tea. ‘Autumn Seaside Blooms Afternoon Tea’ features a delicious array of savoury and sweet bites, the savouries crafted using sustainable seafood. Enjoy lobster tart topped with salmon roe, seared yellowfin tuna sandwiches and brown crab and peach ravioli. Then dive into a banoffee tart with salted and espresso chantilly cream, caramel sauce and peanut crunch, a Date Me in Vanilla confection featuring fresh dates with vanilla whipped ganache, vanilla sponge and caramel sauce and a Rose and Lychee Sphere with sweet lychee mousse and baked berry cheesecake. And there are scones, natch.

To celebrate Oktoberfest, The Park Lane’s Ebb & Flow dining space has teamed up with Belgian brewer Hoegaarden for a special afternoon tea. The menu is inspired by Hoegaarden Peach White Beer and Rosée White Beer with a vibrant, fruity theme. Try savoury bites and sweet treats including Belgian 70% Chocolate Cake, Raspberry Cream Choux and Peach and Mango Tartlets. Scones flout the norms and are served as a Hoegaarden White Sorbet and Chocolate Chip version. Whet your whistle with traditional tea or a Hoegaarden beer. Each guest also receives a complimentary Hoegaarden Beer Set.

Indulge with a chocolate-themed tea in Tsim Sha Tsui. The ‘Chocolate Affair Afternoon Tea’ lets guests indulge in a decadent celebration of cocoa. Savoury highlights include smiley mini beef burgers with cheese and a quail’s egg and Swiss dried ham tartlets, a mere appetiser before the rich chocolatey delights like chocolate Bailey’s cheesecake, hazelnut profiteroles, crême brulée tart and chocolate ginger mousse with mango.
