Jurassic World: The Experience opens at Gardens by the Bay in May
Singapore has added another exciting opening to its already busy calendar this year with the announcement of Jurassic World: The Experience.
The city’s popular Gardens by the Bay attraction will be hosting the event which will see giant animatronic and sculpted dinosaurs nestled amongst the foliage of the Cloud Forest.
Highlights will include an eight-and-a-half-metre brachiosaurus ready to greet visitors as they enter the Cloud Forest, a huge tyrannosaurus rex and smaller baby dinosaurs in the Petting Zoo area. The attraction also brings to life iconic moments from the blockbuster film Jurassic World through cutting edge animatronics and interactive exhibits.
The Cloud Forest at the stunning Gardens by the Bay attraction replicates the cool and moist climate found in tropical mountainous regions of the world at between 1,000m and 3,500m above sea level. More than 72,000 plants thrive in the forest, with more than 50 species that trace their lineage back to the Jurassic period, such as ferns, cycads and conifers.
Visitors can head back in time to life before the dinosaurs to learn about ancient plant species. Evolution Walk features reconstructions of ancient plants that are now extinct and show how plants have evolved.
“Besides life-sized dinosaurs roaming the mist-shrouded landscape, what sets Gardens by the Bay’s edition apart is a world-class educational showcase,” said Felix Loh, chief executive officer of Gardens by the Bay. “Visitors will learn how prehistoric ecosystems once shaped our planet within the setting of a Cloud forest and the fascinating way plants have evolved through millions of years from the Jurassic period.”
Jurassic World: The Experience follows the successful Avatar: The Experiences in 2023 event. It opens on May 29.
