Moon World Resorts unveils its masterplan for ten, billion-dollar resorts

Plans have been revealed for giant resorts set around spheres modelled on the moon. So far, the resorts are being planned for ten destinations worldwide.

The ambitious concept is the brainchild of Toronto-based Moon World Resorts who revealed their masterplan earlier this month.

The US$5 billion resorts will have a massive 312m high replica moon as their centrepiece, which is surrounded by a plethora of hotel rooms, residences and attractions. These include a 4,000 room all-suite five-star hotel, a wellbeing and longevity centre, restaurants, boutique shops, conference centre, e-sports centre and a discovery centre. Beyond the central resort will be a Visionary Park and Lagoon.

The massive destination will also offer 10,000 apartments for sale, located inside 16 spheres and 20 towers. A Sky Walk will sit on top of the towers, extending around the entire outer ring of the resort.

The ten target locations include Australia, Brazil, China, Egypt, India, Poland, Spain, Thailand, United Arab Emirates and the United States.

The anticipated build time is 60 months with a potential opening date for the first site in 2032.
