New airport hotel and private terminal for Singapore's Changi

Singapore’s Changi Airport is launching a new private terminal which aims to transform the airport’s premium travel experience when it opens next year. Also planned is a brand new airport hotel.

The new private terminal is being touted as a ‘vibrant travel and lifestyle destination’ and is located at the southern node of Terminal 2. It will be jointly managed by Changi Airport Group and Plaza Premium Group and will feature a lounge, bar, private suites and bespoke dining. The space also will include an event area for private and larger entourages. Transfers will be offered from lounge to boarding gates and Changi’s shopping areas. 

“Some of today’s travellers seek more than just a comfortable place to spend time before a flight, they’re after a personalised luxury experience,” said Ang Siew Min, senior vice president at CAG. “CAG is meeting this demand with an upgraded private terminal that delivers an exceptional experience.”

The lounge will form part of the expanded ‘Hub & Spoke’ amenities cluster at Changi Airport, featuring dining, wellness and pet-friendly facilities available to both passengers and local residents. Anchoring the venue will be Changi’s first covered ampitheatre and open-air plaza. 

The lounge is also conveniently located close to Terminal 2 as well as the upcoming Hotel Indigo Changi Airport. The 255-room hotel is set to launch by 2028 and will be Singapore’s first hotel to attain ‘zero-energy’ certification under the Singapore Building and Construction Authority’s Green Mark Scheme. This means that all of the hotel’s energy will come from renewable energy sources. Facilities will include an infinity pool, gym and bar with panoramic views.
