Outrigger unveils Outrigger Phi Phi Island Resort - the barefoot-luxury retreat opens next year
Outrigger Hospitality Group has announced it will be opening a resort on Thailand’s Phi Phi Island.
Described as a “barefoot-luxury retreat”, Phi Phi Island Resort will feature 63 suites and villas blending southern Thai craftsmanship and sustainability with “serene beachfront hilltop settings”.
Highlights of the new resort include Mala Kitchen, a dining spot showcasing southern Thai cuisine, Zeavola Spa inspired by ‘Auy Man Kwan Yeun’ (a blessing for life) and a menu of curated experiences including Thai cooking courses, bead-making and eco-conscious diving.
Phi Phi Island Resort will be accessible only by boat and promises a sanctuary of “sea, culture and relaxation”.
The resort joins Outrigger’s award-winning Asian portfolio, including resorts in Koh Samui, Khao Lak and Phuket. According to the hospitality group, this latest resort reinforces its commitment to transformative beachfront experiences in Thailand and across Asia Pacific.
Phi Phi Island is one of a group of six islands in the Andaman Sea, reachable by ferry or speedboat from Phuket or Krabi. Koh Phi Phi Don is the largest and most populated of the islands and the uninhabited Koh Phi Phi Le is famous for its appearance in the movie, The Beach, released in 2000 and starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
Outrigger Phi Phi Island Resort is slated to open early in 2026.
