French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s Le Petit Prince has arrived in Thailand with the launch of Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort’s Le Petit Prince-inspired children's club.
The philosophical tale of Le Petit Prince is an allegory for life’s journey, exploring themes like friendship, beauty and meaning through the eyes of Le Petit Prince as he visits various planets, including Earth, in his little red plane. Highlights from the book that have inspired the design of the club include the rose the prince falls in love with, the fox he meets on his journey, the stars he passes and his red aeroplane.
Children can enjoy a creative area with arts, crafts and storytelling, a ‘move area’ with slides, climbing and energetic play, a rest area with books and quiet games and an immersive corner that embraces Thai culture and the natural world.
Additional fun includes a Tree Tower, pirate ship and castle. Meanwhile, the art and craft studio overlooks the tropical gardens for added inspiration and come evening, the club lays on glow-lit adventures (while parents can slope off for a quiet dinner).
Sofitel has partnered with the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Youth Foundation, supporting young generations around the world since 2011. Promotions such as the Sofitel Family Offer, with half-price adjoining rooms, late checkout and in-room children's amenities, includes a per night donation to the foundation.
“The reimagined Le Petit Prince Kids Club captures the heart of our family philosophy, where imagination, play and learning connect generations,” said Jonathan Rudd, general manager at Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort. “We’re proud to introduce this evolved concept in Krabi, where every child becomes an explorer, and every family creates lasting memories together.”
Bookings for Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort can be made online.
