Saudi Arabia unveils Jaumur luxury marina as part of Neom project

The new Jaumur luxury marina development is part of the massive Neom construction project currently underway in northwest Saudi Arabia

Jaumur will offer residences for 6,000 people plus an international boarding school

Saudi Arabia is pushing ahead with yet more superlative tourist destinations. Earlier this month a lavish marina development on the Gulf of Aqaba was announced, the latest addition to the US$1 trillion Neom project.

Known as Jaumur, the development is described as an "exclusive residential community" and has been designed for around 6,000 residents, including 500 marina apartments and 700 luxury villas with waterfront access and private mooring. There will also be an international boarding school and two hotels.

The marina will form the focal point of Jaumur and a dramatic 1.5km high aerofoil at the entrance to the marina will provide year-round protection to the yacht berths. 

The new community is located on the Gulf of Aqaba

There will be year-round entertainment including arts events and a performance programme. Shops and restaurants are also included in the blueprint.

Jaumur follows hot on the heels of announcements for further tourism destinations in the Gulf of Aqaba, including Leyja, Epicon, Siranna, Utamo, Norlana, Aquellum, Zardun, Xaynor, Elanan, Gidori and Treyam.

Last month, a new luxury lagoon resort was revealed. Billed as ‘elevated heaven’, Treyam boasts the world’s longest sky pool at nearly half-a-kilometre long and sits in a stunning location on the coast where desert lagoon meets ocean. 

Jaumur and Treyam are part of the huge NEOM development currently under construction in northwest Saudi Arabia.
