Andaz One Bangkok launched earlier this quarter, adding yet another stay option to one of Southeast Asia’s most exciting capitals. Andaz One Bangkok opened its doors in December as part of One Bangkok, the city’s largest integrated district. The hotel is located by Lumphini Park and offers sweeping green views. Rooms feature marble bathrooms, complimentary non-alcoholic minibars, Nespresso coffee machines and Dyson hairdryers. Most have park views. On the seventh floor is an outdoor infinity pool overlooking the park and a fitness centre. Dining options include Jing for casual, Chinese dining, Andaz Terrace for all-day alfresco meals and Piscari on the 23rd floor specialises in sharing-style Mediterranean cuisine; after dark, live DJ grooves take over the rooftop terrace.

Paradisus by Meliá Bali - Indonesia

Meliá Bali, one of the island's original hotels, has reopened after a six-month refurbishment as Paradisus by Meliá Bali. This is the first Paradisus-branded property to open in Asia. The resort is located in Nusa Dua and offers suites and private garden villas; facilities run to four pools, including an Aquazone water park with slide, and multiple restaurants and bars. The villas include five one-bedroom configurations and two with two bedrooms. Each villa has a private pool, outdoor dining area and open-air showe. A ‘family concierge’ ensures families are well-provided for, with spacious suites, in-room amenities and access to an exclusive beach area. There’s also a family-friendly restaurant, a family check-in area and a children’s playground. For older children, there’s a Teens Club for 13 to 18 year olds with a range of activities. The resort's all-inclusive offer comprises accommodation, dining across all eight restaurants, daily poolside snacks and a mini-bar replenished with selected drinks.

Mercure Cibadak Sukabumi Resort - Indonesia

International hotel brand Accor has opened a family-welcoming resort in the West Java province of Indonesia. Mercure Cibadak Sukabumi Resort is located in the southern area of the province in an area known for its nature and a coastline facing the Indian Ocean. The area is predominantly agricultural but is becoming increasingly popular as a tourist destination. The Mercure resort offers guest rooms including treehouse-style accommodation; facilities include four swimming pools, a children’s pool, kids’ club and fitness centre. The property opened on February 1 and Mercure views it as a gateway for travellers looking to enjoy a slightly more off the beaten path destination in Indonesia. Accor is currently the largest international hotel operator in Indonesia, with a portfolio of 135 hotels.

Communal facilities include a pool deck with four pools, a spa and a fitness centre. Families can take advantage of a children’s club, Chang Dee Kids’ Club, and dining options include Bistro Grill and poolside bites at Tropix, Koh Kool and Splash Deck.

Accommodation includes villas with private gardens and family friendly rooms with interconnecting options as well as bunk bed studios and deluxe suites with multiple rooms. Children can enjoy the Junk Bay Kids’ Den with an ocean adventure theme and play area and a Fortress Room with a castle theme. Dining options include Ponentino, a rooftop Italian restaurant scheduled to open this summer.

Boutique hotel brand, MGallery Collection, launches V Villas Maldives at Mirihi in the new year. Located in the heart of the Maldives on the secluded island of Mirihi in the South Ari Atoll and a picturesque 25-minute seaplane journey from Malé airport. The property was formerly Mirihi Island Resort and is undergoing an extensive renovation and expansion ahead of its January launch. The property will eventually offer 42 villas, including a mix of beach and overwater villas, as well as multi-bedroom suites with private pools. Named for the delicate Mirihi flower, the island is surrounded by coral reefs and a protected lagoon renowned for diving opportunities with manta rays and whale sharks. Facilities include a signature spa and wellness sanctuary, indoor and outdoor gym and yoga pavilion and upgraded dining spots with an overwater restaurant.

Opening early in 2026, Varel Singapore is located on Seelgie Road Arts District at the “heart of Singapore’s artistic pulse”. Inspired by Southeast Asian heritage, Varel Singapore will eventually offer 128 rooms and four dining concepts. Two restaurants are currently open including Hathaway Autography for Southeast Asian-influenced flavours like heirloom fish curry and beef rawon. Vernacular Coffee serves beans expertly roasted in-house and Saga Bar is perfect for sundowner cocktails. There’s also a rooftop pool and fitness centre.

Frasers House, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Singapore - Singapore

This revamped heritage property is located in the heart of Bugis precinct, Singapore’s vibrant arts and heritage district. The new-look hotel is a rebranding of the existing InterContinental Singapore, the result of a recent milestone agreement between Frasers Hospitality and Marriott International. The landmark building will undergo a phased redevelopment, carefully preserving its elegant architecture and Peranakan-inspired design. Once completed, the hotel will offer 400 rooms and suites with design details that echo the district’s architectural and multicultural heritage. Existing restaurants will receive a refresh with local flavours and craftsmanship; in the meantime, guests can continue to use the building’s outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre and renewed wellness offerings.
