Curiosity Cove opens at Mandai Wildlife Reserve - children enjoying the Grasslands zone
Singapore’s Mandai Wildlife Reserve has unveiled Curiosity Cove, a giant nature-inspired indoor playspace for children aged three to 12 years.
The space features multi-sensory play experiences in four interactive zones that represent real-world ecosystems. The zones include Wetlands, Forestlands, Grasslands and Drylands.
Mandai Wildlife Reserve is located away from the city in the north of Singapore and over the last decade has transformed into a wildlife and nature destination, combining conservation with family-friendly entertainment. Its five five major wildlife parks include Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, River Wonders, Bird Paradise and Rainforest Wild Asia, which opened earlier this year, as well as publicly accessible green spaces and an ever-expanding range of retail and dining options. The area also includes Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree, which launched earlier this autumn. More is still to come, with plans for a second phase of Rainforest Wild and Exploria, an indoor, nature-themed multimedia attraction.
Across the four zones at Curiosity Cove, children can explore more than 30 multi-sensory touchpoints that complement the outdoor wildlife parks at the reserve, such as crawling through a ‘snake belly’, climbing an orangutan tree-bed platform or triggering lights and sound by shaking hanging vines.
Other exciting new highlights at the reserve include the Mandai Boardwalk, a freely accessible three-kilometre boardwalk with views over Selangor reservoir. And if you fancy a night in the wild, Colugo Camp is now available for year-round bookings with all-inclusive stays and wildlife park visits organised by camp facilitators.
