The Statue Square Christmas tree in Hong Kong’s Central district is back this year following the Hong Kong Tourism Board’s big reveal this week of Hong Kong WinterFest 2025. The festive celebration kicks off on Friday November 14 and will include a 20m Christmas tree, an immersive light show around town and shopping and dining privileges.


Christmas Town

Statue Square Gardens will transform into a dazzling Christmas Town with a 20m Christmas tree and giant, toy-themed decorations including a spaceship and motorised train. Santa Claus will also be making appearances and a mini Christmas market of 12 chalets will be serving up seasonal food, gift shopping opportunities and workshops.


When: November 14 to January 4; the Christmas market opens on November 28.

Where: North and South Squares, Statue Square Gardens, Central.

How to get there: Central MTR, Exit K.


Immersive Light Show in Central

Enjoy a huge sound and light show with 3D projections, festive animations and music. Snowmen, angels and reindeer will dance their way across the facades of Central’s landmark buildings, including Bank of China Building, Bank of China Tower, Court of Final Appeal Building, Hong Kong City Hall High Block, Hong Kong Club Building, HSBC Main Building, Prince’s Building and Standard Chartered Bank Building.


When: November 28 to January 4, 2026, 7.30 to 10.30pm, with a show frequency of every 30 minutes.

Where: Recommended vantage point is South Square, Statue Square Gardens.


Starlight Boulevard

Chater Road will shimmer into the festive season with lights and an illuminated footbridge. Make your way under a golden canopy of light to Noëlia at LANDMARK, a large-scale interactive installation.


When: End of November to January, 2026.

Where: Landmark Atrium & Chater Road Area, Central.

How to get there: Central MTR.
