Kellett School, the British International School in Hong Kong, has announced major upgrades to its two campuses.
The school celebrates its 50th anniversary next year and will be marking the event with two new learning spaces as part of its Kellett Vision 2035. The spaces include a dedicated Sixth Form Centre in Kowloon Bay and the refurbishment of the Pok Fu Lam campus on Hong Kong Island.
“We are thrilled to announce two exciting developments at Kellett as we embark on our second half century,” said Paul Tough, Kellett’s principal and chief executive officer. “Kellett continually strives for excellence in teaching and learning and dynamic learning environments that inspire our students are vital to this.”
The bespoke Sixth Form Centre is slated to open in August 2026, subject to Education Bureau approval, with space for 240 students. The centre will be located on a new, third campus in The Bay Hub on Kai Cheung Road in Kowloon Bay. It will be connected by a footbridge to Kellett’s existing campus on Lam Hing Street.
Boasting university-style facilities, the centre will feature a dozen classrooms, state-of-the-art study areas and social spaces.
The school will also see a major refurbishment of its original campus in Pok Fu Lam. Enhancements are planned to classrooms, the library and gym, as well as the addition of new soundproof music practice spaces, a central multi-use learning space, barrier-free access for children with disabilities and a dining hall. Work will commence in summer 2026 and will be spread over a number of years, with the majority of the upgrades taking place during school holidays to mitigate disruption.
“These developments mark the next era of Kellett School as it celebrates its 50th anniversary and looks ahead to the next half century,” said Nick Marsh, chair of the Kellett School Association Board. “Kellett is relentless in its pursuit of excellence in teaching and learning and these developments will ensure the school continues to give its students a love of learning and confidence for many years to come.”
